Music and the Organ at St. Aidan's
Due to the nature of our liturgy, music plays an ever more important role here in our worship. S. Aidans has never been fortunate enough to posses a pipe organ and the old electronic organ was slowly coming to the end of its life. We are very pleased to have recently installed a brand new organ from Eminent.
Having taken the decision to replace the old instrument, the Church decided to go for a slightly larger model than before as we needed an instrument that would be able to accompany some of the larger festival celebrations that happen here. The new organ was therefore installed and opened at a gala concert given by Andrew Fletcher in March 2007.
