Our new bell is at last installed!
After many months planning (and much saving), Saint Aidan's now has a bell. This bell was a gift from Fr. David Cawley and was originally cast as the first bell for the Shrine of Our Lady of Walsingham. Its catholic heritage therefore is impeccable!
The bell is situated at the front of the Church and rings the Angelus 3 times a day, as well as calling worshippers to Church by ringing 33 times before each Mass.
There has been no bell at Saint Aidan's since the bell that was here was taken out of the tower and sold. All in the community are pleased again that Saint Aidan's can now be heard all over the estate of New Parks reminding all that the worship of Almighty God still continues in this holy place.
