"Loud Organs His Glory Forth-tell in Deep Tone"
To raise money for the next stage of the Church Hall Renovation, Fr. Simon has agreed to record a CD of popular organ music played on the new organ here at Saint Aidan's. This has been mainly at the request of members of the congregation, and the recording will include many pieces of music heard at Saint Aidan's throughout the year, though not normally by the Parish Priest!
Before his Ordination, Fr. Simon worked as a professional organist, giving recitals at places such as the Cathedrals of Liverpool, Lichfield, Lincoln, Coventry, Ripon, York Minster and Ampleforth Abbey. He has broadcast on both BBC Radio 3 and Classic FM and was recently featured at the Organ of the Royal Albert Hall.
We are very grateful to Eminent Organs who are sponsoring this recording, without whose help it would not be possible. It is hoped that the CD will be available by the end of October.
